Shopping on Duke's Lane in Waikiki
Posted by Unknown | Tuesday, March 4, 2014

When you are out in Waikiki looking for gifts or souvenirs to take home, check out Duke's Lane.  It's right in the heart of Waikiki, a short walk from our vacation rental units at the Royal Moana, the Royal Kuhio, the Regency on Beachwalk and more.
You will find Duke's Lane between Kalakaua Avenue and Kuhio Avenue, along the side of the Beachcomber Hotel, near the old International Marketplace.  If you are on Kuhio Avenue, the opening is at Nohonani Street, where the traffic light is, near the Waikiki Trade Center.
There are kiosk style booths selling all kinds of fun things, from ukulele's and clothing, to jewelry and even dog and cat clothes!  I've seen cell phone cases and accessories, hand carved wood tiki statues, dancing hula girl statues, and grass skirts with coconut bras.

There are also wind chimes, vintage license plates, lighters, magnets, and much more!  It's a great free activity for the family to go take a peek and buy local if you find something of interest.  The kiosk owners are really friendly and and if you don't find what you are looking for, they usually know where you can find the item you are seeking and will tell you where to go to find it.  Most of them have been there for many years and know all the other kiosks so they help each other.
