Brand New and huge property perched up on a hill at the Cottages of Mauna Olu development. Two story open floor plan with airy high ceilings and exquisite finishings throughout the residence. Open concept kitchen with stone counters and kitchen island for more entertaining. We just opened up the completely separate attached studio with private studio entrance, full kitchen, full bathroom, split a/c, washer & dryer! Perfect for a second family or "in-laws"!
Enjoy this paradise vacation home miles away from the hustle and bustle of Honolulu.
This home boasts enormous eco-friendly landscaping including an outdoor seating and BBQ grill for entertaining friends and family. Owner tastefully decorated the house with custom top of the line furniture pieces, artwork, which really gives you the "welcome home" spirit one should feel when visiting West Oahu.
Smart TVs throughout the house, including in bedrooms along with split a/c in every room as well. Parking easily for 3-4 automobiles readily available (NO street parking). House comfortably sleeps seven adults or a family of eight or 10 with large studio. Bedding arrangements include: King in Master Suite, Queen in 2nd Guest Room, and 2 Twins in the 3rd room. The living room has a full size sleeper sofa ideal for 1 Adult or 2 smaller guests.

The cottages at Mauna Olu are a newly developed family oriented gated community with 24 hour security on Oahus famous west side.  The 26 acre community features 118 homes situated within the breathtaking Makaha Valley, and is located at the foot of Mount Kaala of the Waianae Mountain Range, the tallest mountain on Oahu.  Makaha Valley is one of the largest on the leeward coast. Mauna Olu is the perfect getaway from urban city life, ideal for enjoying peaceful starry nights and a resort-like ambiance while preserving a cozy home away from home feeling. World famous Makaha Beach known for its world class surfing is a mere 5 minutes away and frequently boasts some of the best weather on Oahu.  It's also known for incredible snorkeling and scuba diving as well when the waters are calm. The westside of Oahu is home to some of the most beautiful white sand beaches on earth frequented by countless pods of dolphins. At the Makaha Valley Country Club you can play at an exclusive golf course located at the base of the Waianae mountains.  Known for its varied challenging doglegs and breathtaking elevation changes, it is one of the most enjoyable courses in the island chain to improve one's golf skills. Numerous outdoor hikes abound throughout the area, which are sure to delight any outdoor enthusiast.  Perhaps the most famous is the Kaena Point state park, a bird sanctuary hike at the westernmost tip on Oahu, known for having some of the biggest waves on earth! In Hawaiian lore, it's known as a jumping off place for souls to enter the afterlife...  You can definitely feel the mana (power) everywhere here!  When a taste of the city life calls, Makaha is 16 miles away from Kapolei, home to such exciting attractions like the waterpark, Ko Olina golf course and the Disney Aulani resort and its multiple shops and restaurants.

Nestled in the breathtaking Makaha Valley, just a short drive from Honolulu, our vacation rental was the perfect Hawaiian retreat for our family getaway. With ample space for six adults and four children, the number of bedrooms was just right, providing everyone with their own cozy sanctuary. Each bedroom was wonderfully designed, offering comfort and tranquility, making it easy to unwind after a day of exploring the stunning surroundings.

The living spaces were nothing short of beautiful, with large windows that framed the picturesque views of lush greenery and vibrant sunsets. Whether we were relaxing together in the spacious living room or enjoying meals in the well-equipped kitchen, the ambiance was always warm and inviting.

We were delighted to find that the house had everything we needed for a seamless stay—from beach essentials to cooking supplies. It was a joy to gather as a family, sharing laughter and creating cherished memories in such a lovely setting.

For grandpa, renting the separate apartment was a must, providing him with the perfect space to relax while still being close to the family. This thoughtful addition allowed everyone to enjoy their own space while still feeling connected.

Our time in Makaha Valley was truly magical, surrounded by the natural beauty of Hawaii. From the stunning beaches to the lush landscapes, every moment was a reminder of the paradise we were in. We left with hearts full of joy and a desire to return to this enchanting home. If you're looking for a perfect family getaway, this is the place to be!

Indulge in a luxurious getaway that feels like a home away from home. This accommodation offers all the essentials and more, including a large parking lot, ample space for your family, modern appliances, and a high ceiling. The lush green plants outside create a soothing ambiance. I am grateful for the hassle-free experience my ohana enjoyed here, thanks to the friendly neighbors and clean surroundings that provided ample space for the kids to explore. Very nice and clean house in a nice gated neighborhood. Yes it’s a bit far from all our excursions but if you want your privacy away from all the tourist this is your location.

We enjoyed our stay, everything was exceptional. Area was far from most things we wanted to do about an HR drive everyday so I would consider this but the place itself was amazing. The area around wasn’t so nice driving to the house but once you enter the neighborhood it gets way better and feels safe and secure. Felt great knowing my kids could play and hang out outside very quiet and safe area. Do not hesitate to book owners are super nice and helpful and easy to work with.

Our son is stationed in Hawaii and we came over as a family to visit him. This house absolutely perfect! It's 1.5 miles from one of the most beautiful quite beaches on the island. A small drive to the city. We couldn't have found a better place for all of us to come together and visit with him. If this house was for sale, we would buy it today!
