The Ilikai is an ocean front resort with concierge service and access to swimming, snorkeling, surfing, sailing, paddle-boarding, and even has it's own salt water pool. The acres of grounds are gorgeous with 6:30 p.m. hula shows and 5 p.m. daily torch lighting are part of the charm. Located on the 19th floor it overlooks the Duke Kahanamoku Lagoon with views of the ocean.
This beautiful gem has a full size kitchen with GE appliances, spacious bathroom, Serta king size bed, and a queen size sofa sleeper. New Split a/c installed with soffit lighting to cool 500 sq ft of living space and there is a huge lanai of 120 sq ft. The kitchen has been renovated for you to enjoy the comforts of home while on vacation. Cable TV & FREE high speed internet access with password protected WIFI is included. Enjoy waking up to the calming views of the Pacific Ocean and to end the week, every Friday enjoy the beautiful fireworks off the lagoon from your private lanai.
Beach Access? The walkway ramp from the hotel lobby leads directly to the Duke Kahanamoku Lagoon & the famous Waikiki beach! You'll be on the beach and in the sand in minutes!
The Ilikai Hotel is well known as being the backdrop for the original Hawaii 5-0 television show. Located at 1777 Ala Moana Boulevard, the Ilikai Hotel is right around the corner from the Hawaii Convention Center, Ala Moana Shopping Center and-of course-the famous Waikiki Beach. The hotel offers two swimming pools, numerous shops and eateries in the lobby including a large sundry store. Aroma Café offers high quality coffee and great breakfast bagels, sandwiches and snacks. There are coin operated laundry machines on each floor and trash receptacles. Beach gear rental shop located on the lobby floor. It rents snorkel gear, surfboards, beach chairs, beach umbrellas and etc. Business hour: 7am to 5pm daily.

-Hair dryer, iron, and ironing board
-Starter condo supplies, including dish soap, dish sponge, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, paper towel, and toilet paper (guests are responsible for replenishing supplies during their stay)
Note: This is a legal one bedroom condo because of its size and full kitchen, however it does not have a wall and door that separates the bedroom from the living room.

The condo itself is spacious and comfortable, with a particularly comfortable bed that made for a great night’s sleep. The kitchen is fairly basic with a limited amount of crockery and cookware, although this was not an issue for us as we ate out most of the time. One minor drawback was that the condo did not have a safe, and the security features, particularly the locks on both the main door and balcony door, appeared somewhat dated and could benefit from being upgraded for additional peace of mind.
One of the highlights of our stay was the wonderful view of the Hilton Friday night fireworks display, which we enjoyed from the condo without having to deal with the crowds on the beach.
The condo and building are a little dated in places, and the public areas could benefit from some refurbishment, but everything was functional. The location more than makes up for this, with shops, restaurants, and the beach all within easy walking distance. We also found it very easy to get around further afield using Uber, although there is also a reliable local bus network available.
Overall we had a great time!
