Restaurnat Review - Buca Di Beppo at Ward Center
Posted by Ali'i Beach Rentals | Saturday, January 21, 2012

Whenever I have an exceptional dining experience I like to make sure our valued guests know about it. Last night my family and I ate at Buca Di Beppo which is located at Ward Center. Click Here for a google map . The family style Italian atmosphere and food was not only delicious but extremely entertaining. Yes, even the food was entertaining! You'll see why if you keep reading. Everything from the entire wait staff signing their own personalized birthday songs to the cheerful greetings from the cooks as the hostess walks you through the kitchen will make you feel like you're at your family's house for a home cooked meal.

Our reservation was at 6:30 on a Friday night and it was packed. Good thing we made a reservation! Oh, and I found out that you can actually make reservations on Buca Di Beppo's website as well.

One thing I feel obligated to let you know is that the portions are obscenely huge. Trust me, if you try to order one large entree per person you'll have leftovers for weeks. That was what I meant when I said that even the food is entertaining. The looks on people's faces when they see the size of the plates that come out is pretty classic. Even if you order on the conservative side, you really can't leave this place without some sort of leftovers.

Okay, so the 5 of us ordered a regular size Shrimp Florentine, large spaghetti n meat balls, regular Caesar salad, and a small cheese bread. We all agreed that the Shrimp Florentine was our favorite. Although the spaghetti n meat balls were pretty good for lunch the next day as well. Below are some pics of our food. The photos really don't show the enormity of the portions, but just take my word for it. I almost forgot to mention that you have to try the chocolate cake. Very dense and decadent.

One last thing I wanted to mention. We used a 50% off coupon we got from signing up on Buca Di Beppo's website. I think it saved us about $25 or so, which was nice.

Anyways, I wanted to let everyone know about our experience and if you make it a part of your Hawaii vacation you won't be disappointed. Maybe we'll see you there. Aloha!
