Top Tips for booking an Atlantis Submarine excursion in Waikiki
Posted by Jody Costello | Friday, June 15, 2018

Less than 1% of the worlds' population has been 100 feet below the ocean surface.    Become part of the club and book an excursion on the Atlantis Submarine during your stay with Ali'i Beach Rentals in Waikiki.   I did this trip a few years ago with my young niece (8yrs) and Mother (70 yrs) and it was an absolutely memory-maker for us all!

Don't expect to see colorful coral on this trip, but there are tons of fish, turtles and shipwrecks to enjoy.  Kids receive a cool booklet to identify sealife to enhance the learning experience.

My recommendation is to choose the newer 'Premium Submarine', as it has larger viewing portholes and more spacious and comfortable seats.  Older folks should consider wearing shoes that allow them to easily go up and down the 7-step vertical ladder.   It's not difficult, so don't worry - just don't want to get your flip flops stuck!  The boat ride out to the sub is fun also!

Our Guests staying with us at the Waikiki ShoreIlikai Hotel, Ilikai Marina, Inn on the Park, Canterbury Place and Discovery Bay can easily walk to the Hilton Pier (located in front of the Hilton Hawaiian Village Ali'i Tower) to check in.   Be sure to arrive 30 minutes before the scheduled submarine tour time.

For guests staying in more central areas of Waikiki, complimentary pick up and drop off is available at the major hotels.  Royal Kuhio, Aloha Surf guests should request pick up at the Hilton Garden Inn on Walina Street (opposite the Food Pantry).   The closest pick up point for those staying at Cabana Waikiki, Waikiki Banyan, Canal House and Waikiki Sunset is the Marriott Hotel on Paoakalani Avenue.   The most central pick point for Waikiki Park Heights, Pacific Monarch and all others would be the Hyatt Hotel (loading zone back entrance is on Koa Street).

Book in advance!

Enjoy your undersea adventures!
