COVID-19 Updates
Posted by Ali'i Beach Rentals | Friday, October 23, 2020

The situation with reopening tourism in Hawaii has been changing rapidly, but we’re staying on top of it in order to welcome you back to Honolulu the best we can!

As of November 24th, 2020 AS STATED BY HAWAII GOVERNOR DAVID IGE: If your negative COVID-19 test results are not available before boarding the final leg of the trip, the travelers must quarantine for 14 days or the length of the stay, whichever is shorter. Travelers will not be able to avoid the 14-day quarantine even if they receive a post-departure negative test. Please note: If you have multiple stops along your way to Honolulu, your departure time will be from the last city you were in before arriving in Honolulu.

Adults and minors five years of age and older who successfully complete a pre-travel test will not be subject to the state’s 14-day quarantine program. FDA-approved NAAT tests, processed by a CLIA-certified laboratory are the only types of coronavirus tests currently approved by the state of Hawaii. The state of Hawaii will ONLY accept test results from TRUSTED TESTING AND TRAVEL PARTNERS.

Prior to arrival, Adults 18 years and older will need to create an account and register through the 'Safe Travels' website. If you are traveling with a minor(s) you will need to add each child's name to the adult's Safe Travels registration form. You will need to log in 24 hours before your flight and fill out the health questionnaire form. Once you receive your test result you will need to upload a PDF of your negative test results to your account. If you do not have your test results in time, you will need to quarantine until it is uploaded in your 'Safe Travels' account. If you or anyone you are traveling with has not received their test results or has received a positive test result, you will not be able to stay in our properties, because short term rentals are not allowed to be used for quarantine purposes by law. If you or anyone you are traveling with tests positive for Covid-19 and is unable to travel, you will receive a full refund from us for your reservation.

We value our guest's health & safety, which is why we have revised our cleaning protocols:

  • 24-hour holds in between each reservation for enhanced cleaning and sanitization
  • Condos are professionally treated with an EPA approved antimicrobial electrostatic spray which continues to kill viruses and germs up to 90-days on all surfaces and is completely non-toxic and undetectable
  • Laundry is professionally cleaned and sanitized off-site

We have also created a TEMPORARY CANCELLATION POLICY: For reservations with a check-in from now through March 31st, 2021 you will receive a full refund if you need to cancel your reservation due to Pandemic related travel restrictions. We know flexibility is important for traveling these days, so we’re happy to help!

Legal Short Term Vacation Rentals are allowed to operate in Tier 2 of Honolulu's re-opening strategy (which we are currently in). If for any reason the daily COVID-19 cases go over 100 cases/day for a 2 week period, Honolulu will have to go back to Tier 1 which would mean Short Term Rentals will have to shut down. If you have a booking with us during that time, you will receive a full refund for your reservation.

Please wear a mask: Face coverings are required when entering an essential business, participating in most activities, traveling on public transportation, and when outdoors if you cannot maintain a physical distance of at least 6 feet from others who are not part of the same household or living unit. This includes the common areas of condo and other housing complexes.
