Well, let’s start by saying the parking rates in Waikiki are some of the most expensive in the country and free parking is almost impossible to find! That said, if you have the time and patience, there are a couple of alternatives to paying for parking. Use this interactive map to help find a parking spot near you.

Cheapest Paid Parking
For affordable day or overnight parking:
- Waikiki Banyan – $30/day (East Waikiki, near Kuhio Ave)
- Ala Wai Boat Harbor – Affordable overnight rates in West Waikiki
- Waikiki Shopping Plaza – Maxes out at $15/day if you enter before 4:30 PM
- Discovery Bay – Affordable parking rates: Request a 1 Day pass from the parking attendant or consider a monthly parking pass.

City of Honolulu Parking Meters:
- Accept credit/debit cards, coins, and mobile payments via the Park Smarter app

Enforcement Hours:
7 AM to 10 PM daily, including weekends. Honolulu Police Department (HPD) handles enforcement for all public meters.
