Back in the Day Charity Concert this Saturday near Waikiki
Posted by Unknown | Monday, August 18, 2014

This Saturday, August 23rd, at 6:30 p.m. there will be a wonderful family friendly concert in Waikiki.  It benefits the Make-A-Wish-Hawaii charity which grants wishes to children throughout the Hawaiian Islands who are suffering from life threatening illnesses.  Your choice of this concert will bring happiness and hope to the children plus I know you and your family will really enjoy the music.

The concert takes place at the Waikiki Shell which is located at 2805 Monserrat Avenue, Honolulu, Hawaii, 96815.  That's just a few minutes walk from our Waikiki vacation rentals at the Wakiki Sunset, the Cabana at Waikiki, the Waikiki Banyan, the Seashore, and many more.

The artists you will hear are Hawaii's favorite live entertainers and include: Henry Kapono of Cecilio and Kapono, Jerry Santos of Olomana, Robert Cazimero of the Cazimero Brothers, Kalapana, Brother Noland (who wrote Coconut Girl), Keola Beamer (who wrote my favorite song: "Honolulu City Lights"), Amy Hanaiali'i, Robi Kahakalau, Sean Naavao, Cyril Pahinui, Raiatea, Ledward Kaapana and Mike Kaawa.

Lawn seats start at $29, Terrace seating is $45 and VIP is $125.00 and are available through Ticketmaster.  You can also just sit outside the Waikiki Shell on the grass at Kapiolani Park and be able to hear the music.  Bring a picnic and the family and friends and it's a cheap night out under the stars in Waikiki!
