The 20th Annual Honolulu Festival will be held March 7-9 at the Hawaii Convention Center on the edge of Waikiki.  The Festival's theme, "Pacific Harmony," reflects the Honolulu Festival Foundation's vision to share the many cultures of the Pacific region with the people of Hawaii and those visiting from all over the world.  The Honolulu Festival's sub-theme for 2014 is "Jubilation, One Heart, One Pacific, One World."  More than 5,000 participants and visitors from Japan and other Pacific Rim countries will come to Honolulu specifically to take part in the Festival.

There will be an impressive showcase of arts, culture, and entertainment - all of which is free to the public.   At the end of the weekend there will be a parade on Kalakaua Avenue and a huge fireworks show off Waikiki Beach.  Also you will be able to shop at the Craft Fair at the Hawaii Convention center on both Saturday and Sunday.  There will be items made in Hawaii as well as other places in the pacific rim.  It's a great free activity for the whole family where you can sample foods you've probably never tasted before and learn crafts like origami paper folding.

If you are staying in one of our vacation rental units at the Royal Kuhio, the Cabana at Waikiki, the Royal Moana, or one of our many other properties, you will be just a short distance to all the action.  The Convention Center is on Kapiolani Boulevard at Kalakaua Avenue and has validated parking and the bus stops right nearby.  It's also an easy walk from most units or less than $10 by taxi.
